Join The Safety Council of Illinois  -  The Safety Council of Illinois is a safety community working with business to reduce injuries and deaths by developing and distributing essential safety and health information, education, and products. Please fill out and submit the membership application.

Membership Benefits  -  Safety Council of Illinois membership opens the door to our team of professionals who can help you better achieve and maintain your safety and health goals/objectives. Membership is available to companies of any size, students, and is renewable on an annual basis.

Safety Council of Illinois Community  -  Learning from one’s peers is a critical career building opportunity for professionals at all levels.  Members can join Safety Council’s facilitated Member Roundtables, Committee Meetings, and Safety & Health Social Media Groups to learn from colleagues and share best practices. To foster our safety community, we invite you to join fellow members on LinkedIn, Twitter and Facebook – to network and to share best practices.

Committees  -  Time to get involved.  Serving on a committee allows you to meet fellow EHS professionals and make a difference in our profession. The Safety Council of Illinois mission is to create a safety community working with business to reduce injuries and deaths by developing and distributing essential safety and health information, education, and products.  Each committee is tasked with helping the Safety Council of Illinois fulfill its mission through the development and implementation of programs within its given area.

Safety Performance Awards  -  Illinois’s Safety Recognition Program.  Safety Awards are given to reward excellence in occupational safety and health programs as measured by outstanding safety performance.  Organizations are recognized for improvements in lost time and total case incidence rates and/or maintaining rates that are consistently below the average for their industry as benchmarked against national averages compiled by the U.S. Department of Labor, Bureau of Labor Statistics. In addition to excellent performance requirements, applicants for these awards must have an effective safety & health programs that include a formal written safety and health plan, emergency plans, safety inspections, and safety training and employee safety committees.
